Summary

Ethiopian architect and businessman Ras Selassie has enough wealth and power to need no one.  He enjoys the solitude of his Colorado Rockies mountain retreat and has carefully kept himself free of romantic entanglements -- a troubled childhood has taught him that relationships mean risk, and love is most dangerous of all.  He has only one burning passion: to build communities for the children of his war-ravaged homeland.  But when he meets interior designer Cassandra Terrell, his iron control starts to slip.   Cassandra is a classy social butterfly who loves life, family, and fun... and while she’s attracted to the charismatic, forceful Ras, his controlling attitude doesn’t sit well with her.  Still, sparks fly, and when they travel to Ethiopia together, Cassandra begins to understand the depth of his integrity and compassion.  But by then, it may be too late, for secrets and danger lie in the path to true love...
